DB Mail is a setting for programmers that lets you make connections to Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server and Sybase databases.
From the DB Mail interface, apart from connecting to and accessing the information in the database tables, you can send emails, e-faxes, SMS messages, cell phone messages, voice messages and messages between different applications. You can also configure the DB Mail properties so that you can share information between different databases, and also send alerts between them.
The programmer who uses DB Mail can run SQL instructions to obtain information from databases and send messgaes with that information.
